Revive Design
creating products of value
from everyday waste
Why must we rely on virgin materials?
Why can't products exist in harmony with nature?
Why should they cost the earth instead of benefiting it?
These are the questions Revive Design tries to answer, by creating ecofriendly materials which are made from nature, for nature.
Ecofriendly, aesthetic products.

Reimagining organic plant waste
-from bane to boon
My love for creating led me to Product Design, but I soon realized I didn't want to contribute to a consumerist cycle that exploits our planets resources.
With knowledge in product development, manufacturing, sustainable design, I began to question our linear manufacturing process (take-make-throw) and what followed was a long series of experiments on reuse, recycling, upcycling while following 3 key aspects as our compass - following sustainable design tools, using waste as a resource, social impact. This journey naturally took a turn towards recycling plant waste and shells, in the form of a biomaterial named B2N (Biodegradable, Natural, Non-Toxic)
A further look into the waste management scenario in our very city of Mumbai, revealed that around 70% of Mumbai's landfills consist of organic wet waste (BMC ESR 2020-21). Mumbai being a tiny habitat with high population density makes segregated collection and scientific recycling a humongous task, leading to landfilling as the easiest way out. This results in overfilling of landfills, encroaching of ecologically sensitive areas to further extend landfills.
The effects being well documented such as water land contamination, green house gas emissions, health concerns - the life expectancy of those living around landfills is 39 years.
Let's reimagine organic waste! It's time for a revival!
Changing perspectives on waste
-untapped resources
B2N is a very versatile formulation which can be used with a variety plant waste (fruit peels, vegetable waste), shells (nuts, eggshells, seashells) to create various bio composite materials.
We began this initiative by door to door collection from households collecting of all types of organic wet waste, as well as collections from local shops around our area (tea stalls, vegetable vendors) but due to space requirements of processing waste, we recycle remnants of the food processing industry and support other initiatives which process and collect organic waste.
We aim to change perspectives on waste, from unwanted to untapped resources.
The durable yet biodegradable material
-B2N
Being developed from all natural materials (plant and mineral based), with the ability to taken on a variety of forms, with no insect or fungal formation and yet being biodegradable - B2N has a number of features of offer along with aesthetic appeal wrapped in an ecofriendly package. By using natural colours and water based non toxic paints we ensure that the entire product is truly ecofriendly.
Products created from B2N have been patronized by well wishers and eco conscious persons since the early days of development in 2019, and with their eager and encouraging feedback and usage reviews, we have fine tuned our processes and material capabilities. We are happy to have the privilege of repeat visitors, and wish to thank our well wishers and supporters.
B2N is a bio material made from nature, for nature. Hence it is biodegradable by design, so that it can regenerate the earth in its own little way. Once discarded B2N turns to mulch it is a nutritive fertilizer rich in calcium, nitrogen, phosphorous - our processing does not eliminate nutritive properties.
Let' go Back 2 Nature, let's go B2N!
